Absolutely! Bio Flame fireplaces have always prioritized safety, and we were the only ethanol fireplace manufacturer to receive UL (Underwriters Laboratories) and ULC (Underwriter Laboratories of Canada) certification. This certification ensured that Bio Flame fireplaces underwent rigorous testing and evaluations by a third party, meeting and exceeding UL's globally recognized Standards for Safety.
Are Bio Flame fireplaces easy to assemble and install?
Bio Flame fireplaces are designed to be easy to install and operate. There is no need for a chimney, flue, gas or electric lines. Most fireplaces come ready out of the box, but some need simple assembly, which will take a few minutes of your time. All wall-mounted models come with mounting brackets and hardware, while firebox and burners will come with installation guides for framing and installation, which will take less than an hour!
Where can Bio Flame fireplaces be installed?
Bio Flame fireplaces can be installed anywhere in your home, both indoors and outdoors. All models are constructed using high-quality 304-grade stainless steel, so corrosion is never a worry!
Can I convert my existing fireplace to an ethanol fireplace?
With our line of grate kits, you can easily convert your existing fireplace. If you are converting a gas fireplace, you have to cap the gas line and connections and then simply frame one of our models into the existing opening.
How do I clean my Bio Flame ethanol fireplace or burner?
As the fuel does not produce any soot or smoke when burning, no cleaning needed! Simply use a damp cloth once in a while to wipe down the surface and remove dust.
Will the fireplace heat up my room?
You bet it will! Bio Flame fireplaces are engineered to be heat efficient and radiate the heat into your room. As there is no venting, 100% of the heat generated will stay in your room! You can find heat output specifications for a particular model on its products page.
Where do I get bio ethanol fuel for my fireplace?
You can purchase our fuel at your local hardware store (Lowes and Ace Hardware in the US and Canadian Tire and Home Hardware in Canada). You can also order the fuel online through numerous online vendors, including Amazon, which offers same-day delivery in many areas.
What is bio ethanol and is it eco-friendly?
Bio ethanol is derived from renewable resources such as corn, making it a sustainable energy source. The only residual emissions when burning bio ethanol are carbon dioxide and water steam. This makes bio ethanol fireplaces one of the safest to use in your home.
How do I operate my fireplace or burner?
A Bio Flame fireplace is simple to operate. Fill it up, light it up and enjoy the warmth of the fire! All required accessories will come with your order.
Does the fuel smell when burning?
Not at all! The bio ethanol does not produce a smell when lit. It smells like alcohol in its raw state and will give a slight odor right after the flame is extinguished, similar to when a candle goes out.
How long will my fireplace burn for?
The fireplace's burners differ in size, fuel capacities, and burn times. Average burn times are 1 hour per liter of fuel.
Why don’t bio ethanol burners need a flue?
Since bioethanol burners do not produce any harmful chemicals or toxins, a flue or vent is unnecessary. However, they do consume oxygen from your living or commercial space, so you may need to open a window for some fresh air periodically.
How do you fill a Bio Flame burner?
When filling your burner, place the provided enclosed funnel in the opening. Then, carefully pour the all-natural fuel into the funnel about ⅔ of the way to prevent any overfill. Once you can see the fuel in the opening, you can remove the funnel and ignite the fireplace.

The Bio Flame offers a 5 year warranty from date of purchase on all operation-related functionality of the fireplaces. The warranty does not cover any damage to products that occur due to improper product handling, installation, or misuse. Order Confirmation:
Upon placing your order, you will receive a confirmation email. We will then verify that all items are in stock and ready for shipment. If your order can be delivered within the advertised time frame, it will be processed and sent to the warehouse for shipment. If the delivery time exceeds the advertised time frame, we will contact you via email and/or phone to confirm the order.
Order Processing:
Orders are processed usually within 24 to 48 business hours after your payment is verified and approved. Your items will be shipped as quickly as possible. Please note that shipping times indicate the time it takes for your package to arrive after it has been shipped, not from the date you place the order. Processing and shipping times exclude weekends and holidays.
If your order is urgent, we recommend contacting us to confirm product availability. In rare cases, if an item is unavailable or on backorder for an extended period, we will notify you promptly. Receiving an order confirmation does not guarantee acceptance of your order. US Fireplace Depot reserves the right to accept or decline any order for any reason and may require additional verification before processing.

Estimated Time of Arrival: Our standard delivery time is 7-14 business days. For custom-made products, the delivery timeframe is typically 4-12 weeks. If the estimated delivery date for your order falls outside the expected 7-14 business day range, our customer service team will reach out to confirm whether it is acceptable.

All estimated delivery dates and shipping costs advertised on our website apply only to the contiguous United States (the Lower 48 states). We provide free shipping on orders over $300.00 in our online catalog with standard ground delivery to the contiguous United States (some exclusions may apply). Items marked as "Free Shipping" qualify for this offer, but expedited shipping is not available for free.

For shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, or U.S. territories, additional shipping charges will apply, even if the item is listed as "Free Shipping." Cancellation & Returns:
Order Cancellations: Orders canceled within 24 hours are free to cancel. So cancellations must be made promptly. Orders canceled after 24 hours will incur a 3% cancellation fee to cover credit card transaction fees. To officially cancel an order, you must receive confirmation via phone or email. If the order has shipped, the buyer is responsible for return freight costs (both directions) and a 25% restocking fee. The refund will be issued to the original credit card within 2 business days after the warehouse receives and inspects the returned item.
Return Eligibility: Items can be returned within 30 days of receiving the order for an exchange, credit, or refund. The product must be unused, in new condition, and in its original packaging with all materials (manuals, instructions, warranties, accessories etc.). If your order arrived damaged, please refer to the "Damages" section.
Non-Returnable Items: Customized, upgraded, or modified products. Products with opened packaging. Products eligible for parts under manufacturer warranty.
Return Process: Contact customer support at 1-844-920-0855 to request a Return Authorization Number (RA#). Returns without a Return Authorization Number will not be accepted. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs, including adequate packaging, insurance, and using a reliable carrier with tracking.
Refunds on returned items: Refunds will include the original purchase price minus shipping costs and a 25% restocking fee. Refunds are issued to the original payment method after the warehouse inspects and approves the return. Returns missing parts, packaging, or materials, or those not in resalable condition, will not qualify for a refund. If a credit card refund is not possible, we will issue a direct deposit.
